The Moldova World Children’s Fund (MWCF) continues its impactful work with children in Moldova and extends its support to Ukraine. MWCF provided crucial aid to Ukraine in response to the June 2023 environmental disaster, delivering essential supplies such as an inflatable boat, motor, fuel, anti-drone searchlights, sump pumps, and other necessities to the affected areas. In addition to its disaster relief efforts, MWCF maintains its focus on aiding children aging out of orphanages by sponsoring their education at vocational or technical colleges and universities.
Here are a few highlights from the report:
- Individual Success Stories: MWCF highlights the stories of Diana and Constantin, two individuals who have benefited greatly from the organization’s support. Diana, who tragically lost both parents and suffered from traumatic mutism, was able to complete her education with MWCF’s support, culminating in a Master’s in Social Work. Constantin, who faced difficult family circumstances and was ineligible for state assistance after aging out of the orphanage system, received support from MWCF to attend vocational college.
- Continued Support: The continued work of MWCF is made possible in part by the generous contribution of Jack Bahm, whose trust will fund their efforts through 2036.
